Mrs. Robino’s: Wilmington, DE
My grandma and I were overdue for some one on one quality time! I decided to take her to dinner, but our ongoing struggle in Delaware is finding something good to eat! We always end up choosing from the same three restaurants, however this time I was determined to find something new to try. Mrs. Robino's, a delicious Italian restaurant in Wilmington, was recommended to me by a Twitter influencer.

I called ahead of time to make our dinner reservation. I mentioned that my grandma has a severe allergy to seafood, and it was clear throughout our visit that her allergy was communicated to everyone who worked with us that evening. Our service was quick and pleasant; no complaints over here!
For our drinks my grandma ordered a glass of white zinfandel while I had a glass of the house made sangria.
Grandma had cannelloni florentine (homemade pasta tubes filled with ground veal, spinach and ricotta cheese, topped with traditional blush sauce).
I ordered eggplant parmigiana (tender breaded eggplant topped with melted provolone) served with traditional red sauce and spaghetti.
I enjoyed spending time with my Nonna and the overall experience at Mrs. Robino's.
The atmosphere was homey and the pasta was freshly made; you can taste the difference!
