Milk and Honey: Atlanta, GA

Updated: Oct 24, 2018

I visited ATL during the first weekend of October for #APodConnectionATL. As soon as we landed in the peach state we stopped at Milk and Honey.

One of my friends currently works here and had mentioned their food several times. After exploring the website and Instagram page I knew this was going to be my first stop in ATL. This restaurant is black owned (always a bonus) and Chef Sammy has won Chopped (one of my FAVORITE shows on Food Network). Milk and Honey is about a 20 minute drive from the airport which felt relatively short.

As soon as we stepped foot in the restaurant the staff gave us such a warm Southern welcome. Everyone was up beat and genuinely polite; it was refreshing to enter an establishment and feel truly embraced. We were seated immediately, and throughout the entire experience the service we received was warm, attentive, and excellent. Shout out to Lese! .

We started out with the strawberry lemonade mimosas.

I decided on Chef Sammy’s award winning Shrimp & grits, while my friend had fried lobster tails. This food was EXCELLENT: beautifully plated, perfect temperature, and seasoning/spices were spot on. This was one of the best food experiences I've had in a while. IF YOU ARE EVER IN ATLANTA, MAKE SURE YOU VISIT MILK AND HONEY! I know for a fact that every time I return to Atlanta I'll be sure to stop here.
